Dr. DRABANT

Dr. Drabant is the Hospital Director and practice owner of Riverdale Animal Hospital. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in Hungary. Dr. Drabant attends seminars and international veterinary conferences regularly to update his knowledge in the current issues and developments in small animal and exotic medicine. He attended trainings in orthopedic surgeries and ultrasonography and always updates his skills and knowledge to conform with the current trends in these fields. Dr. Drabant is a very approachable and accommodating person. He speaks fluent English, Hungarian and Spanish languages.

Dr. SALAMA

Dr. Salama graduated in 1975 from Cairo Veterinary School. He has practiced in different parts of the globe including the United Kingdom, Egypt, France and finally stopping in Canada in 1995. He has been with the Riverdale Animal Hospital team since the hospital was established. He has various trainings in the field of veterinary medicine and usually attends conferences to update himself on current developments in veterinary medicine especially in Ultrasonography and Exotic Medicine. Dr.Salama speaks fluent Arabic, English and French.

Dr. ELIZABETH

Dr. Elizabeth, as she is popularly called, was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba. She moved to Nigeria for a while where she obtained her doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nigeria. She has been practicing in Ontario since 1998. Her interests include internal medicine, pain management and dentistry. She is a firm believer in client education that focuses on teaching clients on disease prevention. On a personal note, Dr. Elizabeth and her husband Izu, who is also a veterinarian love to spend time with their twins. She enjoys traveling with her family and is involved in the children's ministry in her local church.

JOLENE

Jolene has been working in this field for seven years and enjoys working with animals very much. She obtained an Animal Science Diploma from Thompson Education, and has attended and completed multiple different seminars and trainings. To mention a few, she has training in Critical Care and Pain Management in Small Animals, Dentistry and parasitology. Aside from being a Veterinary Technician, Jolene is also a Veterinary Nutritional Advocate of Hills. In her spare time she loves playing with her cats and her dog Ruckus, a Chihuahua-Jack Russell Mix.

GORAN

Goran works as a Veterinary Technician at RAH. He is a very serious and dedicated worker. He works with accuracy and perfection. Goran is very knowledgeable in all aspects of pet related issues. He likes talking to the clients and giving professional advice on nutrition and post-operative care. He is famous as a front man at Riverdale and being able to remember most of the client's names and their pets, even when they are just in to buy food! During his free time from RAH he still deals with other pets doing pet sitting on mostly his friend's dogs, cats and even birds and other exotics. Goran is also the proud owner of Riverdale's other clinic cat, Mama.

KIM

Kim has been working at the Riverdale Animal Hospital for over a year. Kim worked previously at an animal hospital in her home town of Sauble Beach. Now living in Toronto, Kim plans on continuing her education in animal care. She loves working with all animals and hopes to continue helping them while learning all that she can. In her spare time Kim enjoys running around the city with her lab-cross Dillinja by her side.

AMANDA

Amanda is our newest addition to Riverdale Animal Hospital. She has been working in the veterinary field for over 7 years. She worked as a human nurse for a year but then decided she preferred patients of the four-legged furry kind. She has completed many courses in ContinuEd including Emergency & Critical Care, Anesthesia, Radiology etc. Amanda shares her home with her dashound Vernan and her tabby cat Lucy.

HOLLY

Holly has been at Riverdale since august 2010. She graduated from Sheridan for animal care in 2004. She has a special place in her heart for orange tabby cats and has recently adopted "Hank", our secondary clinic cat. Holly enjoys working with all species including pocket pets and has been furthering her knowledge into anesthesia and surgical assistance. She also has another cat at home, Black Jack

CAROL

Carol has been with Riverdale Animal Hospital since the hospital opened in 2001. Carol has been practicing the art of styling and grooming dog s and cats for over ten years. She is very passionate about her work and puts great care and detail into every individual groom that she does. Carol has knowledge in skin and coat care which is an advantage of grooming at the hospital because then she can then inform the client and have one of Riverdale's doctors attend to the pet. Carol grooms at the hospital every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

JAMIESON

Jamieson came to the Riverdale Animal Hospital in 2003. Back then he was just a young kitten who was brought in by an Animal Service employee who found him with broken hips and in need of immediate medical attention. Dr.Drabant gave the kitten a second chance by performing the surgery. Since that time Jamieson has made Riverdale Animal Hospital his home. He is often found lounging across the reception desk, or sun bathing in the windows. He is a much loved member of our team!

MR. BOOGIE

The newest non-human addition to Riverdale! Mr. Boogie came to us as a young budgie in need of a new home. The staff at Riverdale thought about adopting him out but soon became too attached to this little guy to part with him.He can be heard in the reception area mimicking laughter, singing a song or dancing on the floor of his cage.
